Hanging Out in your new [Overhang Roof] Shed

We are receiving more and more enquiries for garden sheds with a custom overhang on the roof. This can help provide a layer of protection for the open shed from poor weather, or from the harsh sun in summer. Great for workshops, gardening grottos, and for any instance where your precious shed contents need to be kept out of the elements!  As this is a custom option, you can work with us to ensure your overhang roof ticks all your boxes.

While the 'roof frame with overhang' is most commonly applied to timber sheds, it can also be done with steel sheds.

On a recent build for a customer in Ngaruawahia, they opted for a fully enclosed ply finish on the soffit, which looks superb and leaves the tidiest finish possible. This option does cost a little more, but for the most descerning among us, it can really be worth that extra investment.

Below are a couple of shots that show the difference of how the overhang would look without the addition of Ply on the soffit. The framing timber and building paper shown below on the shed interior, would simply continue out to the end of the overhang roof egde.
